Dr. Arvid Edward | Medical Director

Hailing from Cincinnati Ohio, Dr. Arvid Edward is a graduate of Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine with over twenty-five years of experience as a practicing veterinarian.

In 2003, Dr. Edward was recognized in Los Angeles, California, by the Parent Involvement in Education Foundation and received an award for "Practicing the Highest Standards of Veterinary Medicine and Outstanding Service" to the community.

Above and beyond his experience as a practicing veterinarian, Dr. Edward is also an actor with a starring role in the kid's television show, "The Dooley and Pals Show". He has also appeared in numerous Disney ads and commercials; A Walt Disney World print work spread for Ebony magazine, a national Frito-Lay campaign commercial for "Rollitos", numerous pet-related radio segments; and is the star of the Amazon Prime reality television series "Pet Doctors of Atlanta".

Most recently, adding to his impressive body of work is being the resident veterinarian for the nationally syndicated TV show, "THE DOCTORS", and star on the international hit television show “Bondi Vet” and “Bondi Vet Coast to Coast”.

Dr. Lee Izen | Veterinarian

Coming to you straight from Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Izen is a remarkable member of our hospital. He attended Auburn University to pursue an undergraduate degree, which he then transformed into a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Auburn University's School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, he began his career in Wheaton, Maryland, but experienced a strong desire to return closer to home. Dr. Izen unveiled Terrell Mill Animal Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, in 1976, where practiced as Veterinarian and Medical Director. He watched his practice grow to a successful AAHA Certified Hospital, which was sold in 2013 to a corporate group.

During his years as a dedicated veterinarian, Dr. Izen has served in many capacities within the professional community, locally, on a state level, and nationally. He was elected President of the State of Georgia Veterinary Medical Association while serving on its board for ten years, served as Chairman of the State Peer Review Committee, as well as Chairman and point person for the passage of a new state Veterinary Practice Act. Locally, he served three terms as President and Board Member of the Cobb County Veterinary Emergency Hospital. On a national level, Dr. Izen sat on the AAHA Peer Review Committee for Published Articles, the AVMA Accreditation and Facility Inspection Committee, and three terms on the National Veterinary Advisory Board for Novartis Animal Health.

His personal interests include spending time with his family and his two wonderful dogs. He also enjoys Auburn football and coin collecting.

Addington Hobbs | Veterinary Technician

Addington “Addie” Hobbs dreamed of being a vet since she was 3 years old, when she had her own imaginary animal hospital room. Growing up in Sandy Springs, she began fostering dogs when she 12 and started her career at a vet clinic when she was 15. Addie is currently finishing her undergrad at Kennesaw State University and aiming to go to North Carolina State for vet school then start her career in emergency and critical care. Between her work as a vet tech and her classes, Addie likes working out at the gym and hiking.

Sam_Martin

Sam Martin | Customer Service Representative

Raised in the Atlanta area, Sam grew up surrounded by her big family, with pets always around. Having at least four pets in the household was standard, yet it was not until 2019 that she started working with animals.

Currently, Sam is. parent to two cats of her own, named Jacko, an orange tabby, and Titus, a tuxedo.
